David M. Montanaro

David Montanaro is an accomplished corporate executive with over 30 years of senior-level experience in the creation, growth and successful management of new and established business enterprises in the telecommunications and data networking industries. He is currently Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of USA Datanet, a leading provider of VoIP-based voice, Internet access and broadband telephony services to the retail, commercial and wholesale markets. An original investor and founding member of the board of directors since USA Datanet's inception in 1998, Mr. Montanaro was appointed President and CEO of the company in March of 2003 and Chairman of the Board in April of 2005.

Mr. Montanaro began his management career as the founder and CEO of American Dynatel Corporation, a distributor of NEC telecommunication products, covering the Northeastern U.S. After negotiating the sale of his business in 1981 to Tel Plus Communications, Inc., Mr. Montanaro was appointed group vice president and board member of TelPlus, which he led until its 1987 acquisition by Siemens Communications Systems, Inc.

Mr. Montanaro subsequently served as executive vice president and vice chairman of NEC Business Network Solutions (BNS), a national technology systems integrator that was formed through the merger of NEC's Business Communication Systems subsidiaries. While at NEC Mr. Montanaro implemented vertical application platforms in the healthcare, education and hospitality industry. Mr. Montanaro's leadership on BNS's strategic acquisitions and internal growth initiatives was central to the unit's revenue growth from $190 million to more than $400 million. Mr. Montanaro also was senior vice president of NEC America, Inc. and served in an advisory position on corporate business development including joint ventures, strategic partnerships, investments, mergers and acquisitions. He previously directed the largest NEC Business Communication Systems subsidiary as president and CEO for nine years, growing the company from $15 million to $150 million.

In 2001, Mr. Montanaro was appointed CEO and chairman of the board of NEC eLUMINANT Technologies, Inc., a recognized leader in the development of fiber-based broadband access solutions for voice, data, video and content to service providers worldwide. Mr. Montanaro had served as a director of eLUMINANT since the company was established as an independent subsidiary of NEC USA in 1998. He guided the company through its acquisition by Zhone Technologies, Inc., a worldwide leader in broadband access systems, in February of 2003.

Mr. Montanaro is on the Board of Directors of Sensis Corporation a leading global developer of air traffic, radar and surveillance systems, and is also on the Board of Directors of Pactolus Communications, a leading softswitch applications provider and a strategic partner of USA Datanet. Mr. Montanaro serves on the board of the Syracuse Metropolitan Development Association and the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as a North American Telecommunications Association board member and is a past President and Chairman of the Board of the New York State Telecommunications Association.



John W. Turner

Mr. Turner was an early investor in USA Datanet and helped guide the development of its next generation architecture. He has more than 20 years experience as an executive and entrepreneur within the telecommunications, Internet and high tech industries. Prior to joining USA Datanet, Mr. Turner served as President of NetAnyware, a business development and strategy firm providing technical, market and business development consulting to early and late-stage start-ups.

Previous positions held by Mr. Turner include a nine-year tenure at NEC in senior engineering and market development roles. Mr. Turner was instrumental in opening new strategic markets and developing several revolutionary products. He was involved in early development of IP Telephony strategy between NEC and Cisco. After leaving NEC, Mr. Turner held several positions in product marketing, emerging markets and sales with Cisco Systems.

Mr. Turner serves as an advisor to several Syracuse based companies, and is a director of Millennium-Web Corp, a two-year-old web kiosk and wireless hotspot provider. Mr. Turner is a member of The Software Roundtable at Syracuse University, Rochester Institute of Technology's Industrial Advisory Council and a frequent guest speaker at Syracuse University's School Of Management.




John "Jay" S. Mercer

Mr. Mercer has twenty-one years of experience in the field of telecommunications engineering and technology. From 1994-1999, he was Senior Network Engineer for Frontier Network Systems/RG Data (also a subsidiary of Frontier Communications International), Rochester, NY, where he designed and deployed the first voice over IP and voice over frame relay networks for the company. From 1989-1994, Mr. Mercer was Senior Voice and Data Engineer for the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. From 1983-1989, he was Senior Switched Data Technician for Rotelcom (a subsidiary of Frontier Communications International), Rochester, NY. From 1978-1982, Mr. Mercer served in the U.S. Air Force as a Radar Technician, earning an Accommodation Medal and Meritorious Service Award.
