USA Datanet Expands Executive Management Team

CEO David M. Montanaro Elected Chairman of the Board
Scott M. Matukas Named President & Chief Operating Officer
John W. Turner Appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer

Syracuse, NY - April 11, 2005 - USA Datanet, a Syracuse, NY-based provider of long distance voice, Internet access and broadband telephony services with half a million registered subscribers nationwide, today announced a significant addition to its executive staff and expanded roles for two members of its senior management team. The changes were made in response to new opportunities the company is addressing in the emerging broadband telephony marketplace.

David M. Montanaro, a founding investor in USA Datanet and original member of its Board of Directors, has been elected the company's Chairman of the Board. Montanaro, who was named President and Chief Executive Officer of USA Datanet in March 2003, succeeds Douglas M. VanOort, who had held the position of Chairman for the past two years

Scott M. Matukas was named USA Datanet's President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Chairman and CEO Montanaro. Matukas was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Broadview Networks, a large network-based communications provider that merged with Bridgecom Holdings earlier this year.

John W. Turner moves up to fill the role of Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, also reporting to Montanaro. Turner's new responsibilities will focus on developing and implementing strategies for pursuing rapidly expanding opportunities in the convergence of wireless technology and broadband telephony products and services.

"USA Datanet achieved a significant milestone this past year with the development and launch of its residential broadband telephony service," said Doug VanOort. "As the company moves to leverage this initial success through further expansion into broadband telephony, the time is right for David to assume the Chairman role," continued VanOort.

"The addition of Scott Matukas and the promotion of John Turner represent two major components of USA Datanet's corporate strategy for capitalizing on the significant growth opportunities we see in the converging markets for voice over IP and broadband wireless access," said David Montanaro. "The experience Scott brings to the cost-effective management of a large network services provider is critical to the efficient operation of the company as we enter this next phase of growth," noted Montanaro, "and the ability to devote John's relationship-building expertise and technology partnering capabilities to the major business opportunities we have before us will be instrumental in driving that growth."
